Charge Types are the categories of fines campuses utilize in assessing usable instructional materials when they have sustained minor damage (charges follow the life of an accession number, documenting the minor damages already identified). Charges are established by the district and all charges require the selection of an established Charge Type.

- Overview
The district determines whether the campus can adjust the dollar amount required to satisfy a charge and whether percentages will be displayed based on the respective ISBN's price (four percentages are displayed: 100%, 75%, 50% and 25%).
Sample charge types include "Damaged Cover," "Stray Marks," "Highlighter Markings," "Torn Page," and "Graffiti (not obscene)"
