Material Types are district-wide categories assigned to Instructional Materials Management instructional materials. Material types are used as filters for multiple on-screen grids and multiple inventory reports.

Create Material Types Page

Item	Description
Material Type	Required field for the name of the new material type
Digital	Allows the material type to be named as electronic or digital (when assigned to an ISBN, this enables Instructional Materials Management to track the respective digital subscriptions or licenses)
Description	Optional field for more material type-related information
Existing Material Types	Displays a list of existing district-wide material types in Instructional Materials Management as reference
Save	After entering the desired material type information, this creates a new material

Select Material Type	Allows the choice of an existing material type (used district wide)
Digital	Allows the material type to be named as “electronic” or “digital” (when assigned to an ISBN, this enables Instructional Materials Management to track the respective digital subscriptions or licenses)

Save	After editing the desired material type, this saves those changes
