Quick Issue to Students

This process allows a site to issue an item to a student, in the status of "In Use."

  1.  Navigation:

  3. Students
  1. Click on Issue to Students, located in the "Site Tools Quick Links" menu. The "Issue Inventory" window opens.

  1. In the Student ID field, enter/scan the student’s ID number. If a student ID barcode isn’t available to scan, click on search.png Search to filter and select the respective student.
  2. Click on down.png Next.
  3. If multiple tags are to be issued to the same student, select the lock.png Lock/Unlock next to the Student ID field. This allows you to scan all tag numbers without entering the same student's ID for each tag.
  4. If the student has charge(s), the charge(s) display in the "Outstanding Charges" grid (located below the "Current Inventory" grid).
  5. (Optional) In the Due Date field, enter a date, if needed. The Due Date field is an optional field. When the student ID is entered, the cursor will skip to the Tag field.
    1. Click on cal2.pngOpen the calendar popup next to the Due Date field to select a due date.
  6. Click on lock.png Lock/Unlock to secure the date.
  7. In the Tag/Serial field, enter/scan the tag number to be issued or the serial number.
  8. Click on save2.png Save.
    • This updates the "Current Inventory" grid (displaying all tags issued to this student).
  9. To view a "Transaction Receipt" for this transaction, select Today's Transaction Receipt and/or the Full Transaction Receipt from the “Please Select Inventory Report” drop-down menu. Today’s Transaction Receipt only displays the items that have been issued or collected today. All other items on the student’s account, including those items issued or collected today, are available on the Full Transaction Receipt.
  10. Click on done.png Done to close the "Issue Inventory" window.
Note: If the tag(s) issued to the student are an "Asset Type" of "Component" or "Parent," an additional warning screen will display to verify the transaction. Review "Components Overview" for more details.
