iOS Configuration
Application Mode (iOS)
Use “Application Mode” when scanning within supported mobile apps (such as Asset Management apps).
- Scan the “Application Mode” barcode below using the scanner:
- Install the Socket Mobile Companion app from the App Store or scan the QR code:
- Open the app and follow the on-screen setup instructions.
- Install the Asset Management app (search for "Inventory and Help Desk Management," “IHDM,” or "Hayes Software Systems") and begin scanning.
Basic Mode (iOS)
Use “Basic Mode” when the scanner should act as a Bluetooth keyboard (for use in Notes, Excel, or browser fields).
- Forget the scanner in Bluetooth settings and ensure it is disconnected.
- Scan the “Basic Mode” barcode below using the scanner:
- Pair the scanner via Bluetooth by selecting Socket and entering the serial number.
- The scanner will now input data into any Asset Management field with an active cursor.
Android Configuration
